From June 23 to 27. März 2026, EPHYMESS participated in a business development trip to Südkorea. The delegation was organized by COMMIT Project Partners GmbH and carried out as part of the market entry program of Bundesregierung. The objective was to facilitate access to the South Korean market for German companies in the railway sector and to identify concrete business opportunities.
The itinerary included stops in Seoul and Busan – two key hubs of the Korean railway and infrastructure industry. On-site, the delegation gained comprehensive insights into market structures, current projects, and technological developments in rail transport. Technical events, company visits, and individual appointments provided numerous opportunities to engage with potential partners.
A particular focus was placed on strategic matchmaking: In organized B2B meetings, participating companies were able to present their solutions and explore specific cooperation possibilities. The program was complemented by networking formats and intercultural briefings, which facilitated the entry into the Korean market.
For EPHYMESS, the participation was a valuable experience. The trip not only provided a profound overview of the dynamics and innovative strength of the South Korean rail market but also—thanks to the excellent organization and execution—opened up promising perspectives for future international collaborations.
