The General Assembly is also known as the "Parliament of the Economy" and is the most important body of the IHK. It consists of elected entrepreneurs from Wiesbaden, the Rheingau-Taunus district, and Hochheim. The General Assembly determines the guidelines for the IHK's work, establishes economic policy positions and demands on politics, and approves the budget.
The election takes place every five years, and in 2024, it was held digitally from January 18 to February 20. In "Electoral Group I - Medium and Large Companies," Tobias Jennißen, Managing Director of EPHYMESS GmbH, stood for election for the first time in 2024 and was elected as one of 63 economic representatives to the General Assembly. The election committee, consisting of Dr. Matthias Hildner (Chairman of the Election Committee), Jörg Brömer, Paul Meuer, and Annkatrin Söhngen, has now officially confirmed the election results.
We congratulate Mr. Jennißen on his new role and wish him and all other representatives great success.
