Description

Types in series S01/02 and S06/08 are current insensitive and insulated. Insulation comes from assembly with Kynar shrinking tube, Mylar (≤ 130°C) or Nomex cap (≥ 135°C). This gives the switches high voltage resistance up to 2 kV at AC 50 Hz and 1 min, and protection class I VDE. They are ideally suited to installation in windings of motors, transformers and coils.

Bimetallic switch type S01 / S06 opener

In case of overheating, the contacts open suddenly and return automatically to their starting position once cooled accordingly. Additional insulation with shrinking tube, Mylar or Nomex cap offers an outstanding combination of electric, chemical, thermal and physical properties. It makes the switches resistant to high voltages up to 2 kV and to impregnation.

Bimetallic switch type S02 / S08 closer

In case of overheating, the contacts close suddenly and return automatically to their starting position once cooled accordingly. Here, too, insulation is in the form of shrinking tube or a Mylar or Nomex cap. The maximum switching capacity of type S02 is 6.3 A; for type S08 it is 25 A.

Bimetallic switch triplet versions

Triplet bimetallic switches are also available as openers or closers with insulation in the form of shrinking tube or a Mylar or Nomex cap, and with switching currents of 6.3 A or 25 A.
