In the NWT-ST, a bifilar wound measuring wire insulated 2x with glass fibre is applied to a laminate carrier housing to form a measuring winding. The supply line is connected with the measuring winding via a special strain relief in a 2, 3 or 4 wire circuit. The carrier housing is insulated to the outside with multiple layers of mica paper.
In an NWT-ST/ZS, a platinum wire insulated 2x with glass fibre is applied to a laminate carrier housing to form a bifilar measuring winding. The supply line is connected with the measuring winding via a special strain relief in a 2, 3 or 4 wire circuit. The carrier housing is insulated to the outside with multiple layers of mica paper. To increase the mechanical strength, the NWT is also laminated with glass fibre fabric impregnated with resin. This gives the carrier housing greater rigidity, allowing it to be pushed into the slot without damage, even under increased pressure. The dielectric strength is also significantly higher than in the NWT-ST.
