Speed sensors measure rotational movements on involute or rectangular geared sensor wheels in 1 and 2 channel versions. They are available for cog wheel modules from 1.0 to 3.0. They have a max. switching frequency of 20,000 Hz, or 25,000 Hz in special implementations. The speed sensor is also suitable for zero speed. The special constructions include the series DWG 06 with a half-flange housing and a straight 180° cable connection port, the DWG 07 with threaded sleeve, the DWG 08 with an asymmetric flange housing and DWG 09 with large flange housing. Various supply lines, cable protection options and connectors are available to choose, depending on the requirements.
At least two measuring transducers can usually be integrated into modular wire harnesses. Multiple temperature sensors, or temperature sensors and speed sensors, can be implemented on a wire harness with a plug connection at the same time. Isolated shields on each individual sensor or sensor group guarantee interference-free operation.
In modular wire harnesses, up to four (standard) and a maximum of eight measuring transducers, depending on the plug system and PIN occupancy, can be integrated. The sensors are routed uninterrupted to a main cable to the system plug. The strands can therefore be replaced separately, helping to minimise error sources and making assembly and disassembly for maintenance work easier.
