Thermocouples with in screw-in housing are often used in positions with limited space, on the front face of machine housing or to monitor surface temperatures. They are suitable for measurement on housing of electric motors, generators, transformers and all other positions accessible via a threaded drilled hole.
This thermocouple with screw-in housing has a brass sleeve with spring-mounted measuring tip. The dimensions of the brass tip are ø 6 x 10 mm; those of the stainless steel protective pipe ø 4 x 65 mm. The supply line with a corrugated pipe protective hose is connected firmly with the M8 aluminium fitting using a press squeeze sprung connection. The spring connection means that the sensor can be set variably between 55 and 65 mm and provides a constant contact pressure.
